Canon ITS Employees Spread Festive Cheer in their Local Communities

Canon Information Technology Services (CITS) employees helped to spread festive cheer in their local communities this month with their annual Holiday Toy Drive. The Toy Drive was held as part of CITS’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program, Canon Cares which is an initiative that aims to give back to CITS’ local communities in Albuquerque, NM and Chesapeake, VA.

This year’s Toy Drive was hosted for two of CITS’ local non-profit partners, the New Mexico Cancer Foundation in Albuquerque and the For Kids organization in Chesapeake. The New Mexico Cancer Foundation provides non-medical assistance to patients at the New Mexico Cancer Center and helps to meet their financial, emotional, and educational needs and the For Kids organization provides emergency shelter to families and children experiencing homelessness and poverty in Virginia.

In total, over 550 toys were donated to benefit the local communities. All donations were delivered to the non-profit organizations before December 15 to ensure there was plenty of time to deliver gifts to children in need this holiday season.
